It's an interesting time in my life. For the first time, I've come to realize that I have the freedom to explore and have fun with the rest of my life, despite life's challenges. It's with that sentiment, that I create this Blog. If for no other reason, it's a fun way to keep that little sense of accomplishment alive a bit longer (and maybe me too).
Hobbies, hobbies, hobbies!
OK, so I've got at least a few... Ham Radio, Apple Watch App Development, Running, Recording/Producing and Computers, along with my real job as a gigging musician. The trick is balance. I'm blessed with lots of time these days, and I'm just checking off each thing as the day progresses. Mix in normal life (like cleaning up cat puke and COVID isolation) and you've got the whole shebang.
Anyway, TODAY (1/25/21) marks the first entry, spurred on by some stream-of-consciousness during a Nike Guided Run. Yep, I've "joined" - (it's weird to think of "joining" some "club" when there's no one around, but I guess they had to name it something.) - the Nike Run Club (NRC). I'm using the "Guided Runs" by coach Chris Bennett. The only reason I still want to run, after running 10 times this month, is due to Coach Bennett. He creates a compelling environment, consisting of encouragement, motivation and self-awareness that makes running fun. I haven had this much fun running since I was a kid.
